As the Director of Community Engagement and Partnerships at Castle of our Skins, Ruben provides primary leadership, management, and strategic direction for all community engagement, education, and partnership programs. This includes managing various educational initiatives, including the Black Student Union Intercollegiate Fellowship, Teaching Artist Mentorship Program, Music Inclusion Hub, and other projects with K-12 educational partners.   Leading a team of teaching artists, he oversees the development and deliver of educational workshops and recitals for community partners, along with curriculum guides created to accompany Castle of our Skins' commissioned student repertoire.

Ruben also works with the PostClassical Ensemble to develop and produce educational engagements for the orchestra. He has designed and executed in-school workshops, field-trip visits, and side-by-side performance opportunities for K-12 public schools partners in Washington DC. In addition, Ruben led efforts to formalize PostClassical Ensemble's Ensemble-In-Residence standing with Georgetown University, offering students more opportunities to engage with the orchestra.
