Ruben has been a part of many solo and collaborative performances throughout his musical career.
Orchestral, he has been able to perform in Tanglewood, Carnegie Hall, Kodak Theater, Kimmel Center, Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, Capital One Hall, Veterans Memorial Auditorium, and the National Presbyterian Church, He has also been a part of various operatic productions, including MassOpera's production of The Magic Flute in May 2023 and Penn State's 2015 production of La Boheme.
Throughout his solo training, Ruben has performed in masterclasses ran by Shelly Tramposh, Andrea Priester, Donald Maurice, Edward Klorman, Luciano Pontes, Bradley Ottesen, Scott Slapin, Allyson Goodman, & Daniel Foster. He has also given multiple solo recitals and appearances both inn central Pennsylvania, Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and upstate New York.
In chamber music, he has had performances with various string quartets, trios, duets, and other mixed chamber group. Ruben performed with the DC Strings Workshop, Upper Catskill String Quartet, String Quartet of Northern Virginia, and the Leesburg String Quartet. As a former member of the Penn State Viola Ensemble, Ruben has been featured on two CD’s by Scott Slapin: “Dialogues” & “Hail Cremonus.”
Outside of classical music, Ruben was also featured in a string quartet group to open for Penn State's top jazz ensemble, Centre Dimensions. He has also been featured in multiple pit orchestra collaborations, including "Into the Woods" during the Fall of 2022.
